My guess is that it's AlSi10Mg (tell them 'Aluminium-Silicone-10') - a very common casting alloy. Someone might chime in with more certainty...
Someone should be able to weld that - preferably someone specialising in Aluminium welding. It'd need thorough cleanup & degrease, plus exterior...
i reckon my new, fitted Shoei GT-Air2 has about half the wind noise and drag of my other two helmets! So much so that I'm going to have to find...

Hot = more a sign of lean rather than rich. I reckon that first 150mm is running at about 800-900C with that colour...
