No way, own bike every time. You can do distance on a 749, particularly if speeds are decent. A few minor precautions shouldn't put you off!

Relay from your dealer for ~£5. You won't need more than one as the modern ones are sealed.

The 749 reservoir is a push fit to the master cylinder, make sure it's well seated.
Doesn't this generate an error code, have you checked?
Good point and if you have problems with the fuel pump relay during the day, it's a straight swap with the headlight relay.
