You've got to polish termi's......it helps hide and remove the spatter that the blind monkey that welded it left behind.
That would explain it....all the third party suppliers have started to do matte finish carbon too....maybe a fashion thing?

Looking great so far.... Get rid of those pesky Lambda sensors tho....the DP ecu doesn't use them, and if your not changing the ecu have them...
