You are right in that, now there are "sticky" rubber options for 19" front also... But the stock rubber works pretty well for tarmac..
You would be surprised by how less you feel the 19" wheel, I was sceptical as well but having had the V4 MS for about a year and a half, it...

I have the full race system on my bike. The end cans are different. The full race can has 2 inlet pipes whereas the slip on has a single inlet...
There is some diff though as the Akra slip on is lighter and also has a diff volume/decibel/note....
