V4 has a different sent up, I looks at a mates to see if they were similar, but as you can see the pin/bar on the V4 also has a spring.
Thanks bootsam, the 2nd photo shows what I'm missing, the threaded linkage pin/bar. Is it attached to the rear set by a 5mm allen head bolt fixing ?

Check your bolts, while out riding yesterday lost rear brake, the bolt holding the pin connected to the bottom of the master cylinder fell off. So...
