Not about people's ability thought this was a genuine comparison between 1199 v 899 . If down to ability most on here would not be on sports bikes...
Magnesium front end on 1198 were nose cone bolt on to mirrors etc 899 steel . fuel tank not the same , suspension , stil good bike but not as good...

Yes a quick rider will be quick on a 899 , but same rider be even quicker on a 1199 . Depends on individual wants out of it . But build quality...
