Just spotted a thread for a 749r being broken, this will have the carbon exhaust cover and hopefully the correct bolts etc. You need to make sure...
So what would the current value of an all carbon 2004 749r be now days ???
I'm sure the 2004 749r was an homologation model bike, as such it's very close to the bikes that were raced. The 999r was "just" a special .......
If you want it shiny, buy some clear gloss lacquer from local car shop and spray it. Bolts are not standard bolts, they are large dome head Allen...
Had a 999r Fila rep for a summer, sold it to buy my 749r 2004 :upyeah: In my mind the 2004 749r is rarer, and possibly more special than a 999r...
180 back tyres on 749 and 190 on the 999. But, I know a few 999 riders that dropped to 180 to help the bike drop in to corners easier.
Biased, but, the finish on my 749r carbon fairings, with red paint and lacquer finish is the best. All as Ducati made them.
+ 1 for Image works.
Was just about to sat that. My 748 was head down arse up riding position. The 749 is "flat" in comparison. As mentioned by others, wrist etc is ok...
Had a similar job done by Mark at BSD Peterborough on my 749r. 123bhp at the back wheel :upyeah:
Hi tobytyke, you got a pic of the pressure plate from the side, plus how long are the springs?
No problem, just holding the 2 pressure plates side by side should be enough to tell you if there is a problem. Compare the face that presses...
Yep mean pressure plate. I thought they were all the same, but, I've now been told the 1098 uses longer clutch springs. If I sit the standard...
Jonnyboy. Had a 748 and 2 x 749. Always serviced them properly, only ever had 1 problem, a snapped throttle cable on the 748, thankfully while on...
Not sure if the helps, but, I recently fitted a 1098 clutch plate to my 749 .... Clutch slipped like mad. The spring seats in the 1098 clutch...
1,500 mile on the clock now. Not completely sure about the built in Garmin sat nav, last one had the Merc command system which I feel is better....
Know what you mean, but, I had the previous shape C, with the 220cdi and same 7 speed auto box. Racked up 96,000 mile in 3 years, apart from...
110 co2 emissions means £30 per year road tax :) We pay 4 times that for the GF's 10 year old Ford Focus.
Must admit, loads of torque. Acceleration from 50 to 90mph is tremendous :upyeah:
Not the biggest engine, but, it's the 220 BlueTEC with the 7 speed auto. 170bhp, 0-60 in 7.4 sec. Quick enough to keep up with most normal cars on...
