Geared for economy??
Actually, if I'm honest, what I did was slightly different. The SS had seriously stiff forks and I suspected this had a lot to do with having to...
Yes, I did that with my SS. Worked fine.
Looking at the STM diagram, I can see why. The basket slots appear to have the same rounded bottom end to them that most conventional Ducati...
You could try the cable tie overnight trick to see if that helps you find neutral. If it works, it may not be permanent but at least you'd know...
It does look and sound like coolant. Suggest you take it back to be checked over by the dealer.
Would have thought the slave not seating quite right would lead to a slack rather than solid clutch lever. Worth a try though.
Iirc, length of chain can be an issue. If it's too long or stretched, the tyre can touch the inside end of the swingarm, it depends on the profile.
If it's not loose, it may well be ok at the clutch end. I expect there's a knack to it but my bike doesn't have the groove, so can't help much....
Is it loose then? You may need to relocate in the bearing in the pressure plate from the other end. Clutch cover off, undo bolts and slip the...
Has the pushrod come out at the other end? Try fiddling the pushrod into place in the pressure plate.
If it's just had new slip ons, chances are it's an air leak. Slip them off, use some combined lubricant/sealing paste (Firegum?) to slip them...
What I really don't get is why adding a thicker plain plate is going to help. I'm the first to admit I know sod all about slipper clutches but I...
Problem Thing is, the waters are muddied because other things have been done. The spider has been replaced and the ramps have been greased....
How about doing the same thing on your 999, so you can compare the feel of both.
The only advantage of doing this would be to determine if this is where the problem lies. Shimming in this way would of course mean less lift at...
If the slave and pushrod between them are preventing the springs and pressure plate from holding the clutch plates together, no steel plain plate...
From what we can tell, CR's bike came with an STM slipper already fitted and it was working ok until he fitted an aftermarket slave. Tend to...
If that's the case, there's no point in adding plates. You could try shimming the slave cylinder out a little or just go back to oem
Came with the bike or came on the bike? If it was already fitted, then swapping the slave shouldn't have affected it, unless the pushrod is...
