Hammerited cases look good. What was the process? Did you do that in the frame? Did you etch prime first? Did you brush or spray?

No need to weld your nuts, just knock the biggest torx bit that will go in into the allen socket and undo it, then replace with stainless.

As it's been sitting, is it possible you've had condensation in the tank, so water in the fuel.? I try to top my tank right up before hibernation...
