I would hope so but position isn't critical as long as the belt you are checking has both valves fully closed so there is no tension on the belt.
If the centre screw is properly tightened there should be no load on the tabs. I completely agree but he is only checking the condition of the...
Why not? You have more control over turning the engine with the back wheel and if you turn it slowly the tool is more than up to the job.
No, but it makes it easier. Put it in 6th gear and you will be ok. Better still by a crank turning tool.
I am 99% sure that the crank sensor will have nothing to do with the alarm and you will definitely not find 12V there. Since the solenoid clicks...
The crank sensors has 2 wires and a screen that connect only to the ECU. I think they run at 5V from the ECU. I wouldn't expect to see 12V there....

I actually have a pair that came off my ST4s that you could have had but I'd forgotten about them.
Happy to help :upyeah:
There certainly should be ones available to fit your bike. Your bike has the same fitting as the older SS, Monster, 748/9*6 and ST models. Despite...
They are Chinese ones that I bought off eBay. They do the job perfectly well.
