Do you mean sag? if so then to get more sag you need less pre-load on the spring i.e. back off the adjusters.
Agreed, I've never had any problems with 'old-fashioned' coils on any vehicle but at the last service my car had all it's coils changed...
Since you have a multimeter, check that there is 12v at the wiring that the bulb plugs into.

Will fit OK but mudguard mount is different. Ohlins are 3mm bigger at the bottom yoke than the Showa (56mm) otherwise straightforward.
The fogging is easy to clean. Headlight dip from left to right is also easily changed - the easiest way being to swap over the beam unit inside...
I don't if yours, being a later model, has headlight relays? Mine didn't and the power simply goes through the switch and (marginal) wiring....
