Agreed on the MBP collets, I have them on both my bikes. I fitted them to the 916 a few years back and haven't needed to adjust any clearances...

The 50mm system is too big for a standard engine, even a 916/996 and especially a 748. So unless it's seriously tuned it doesn't give more power...
