That’s a great point actually. Not only test days but also number and length of races. NGRCC seem to be short and fewer for example than NL.
Tbh they weren’t too bad. Sure, not huge grip but enough to scrape anything you want from lap one, turn one with just warm up lap as tyre-warmers...
£20k plus damage I reckon.
As a comparison at the other end, iirc my couple of years of racing small control tyre Ducatis with no warmers was about £4k pa. Tyres lasted two...

Tyres costs are such a lot when racing bigger bikes. Is that roughly one front, 2 rears per round?
Young guy I know Sam West is a different league to most club racers, can turn up and be top 3 pretty much anywhere. He barely broke top 20...
