I managed 4k miles from the rear Z8 and had it replaced last month. The front will be ready for changing about the same time as the rear I guess.

I have a carbon "cup" style from that German Carbon Company (Can't remember the name sorry) excellent quality and protects the tank well.

I had to trim my winglets slightly with a Dremel to clear my BB's and they are fine now.
