If you can isolate it by using another type of gasket then it will be ok as you have seen with the other Mg covers, make a paper gasket with some...
Looks like galvanic corrosion to me, dissimilar metals together. I use magnesium anodes on my boat and they get eaten away just like that.
So was I :joy: just one of those days.
Just been out for a ride, missed a bend and went straight up a slip road the wrong way (first time I’ve felt the abs kick in !). 10 miles later...
Cheers fellas.
I can’t make the links work but these might make good track bikes, I’m better with spanners than computers! Item numbers 155073657173 155073486624
That’s coolant in the picture, probably just pushed a bit out of the overflow.
How much is a track day now? I’m 15 years out the loop but I used to do a lot of them.
Ah I missed that, I presumed it was a reading from a multimeter.

14.4 volts on a standing battery? If it was running then yes but that seems odd
I’ve come down to my boat for the night as it’s much cooler on the water. I might actually get some sleep tonight.
Yeah the mc21/28 cranks are a pain it’s either a new crank (Honda has made them available again) or a company in Japan has come up with a centre...
I always run e5 in all my stuff (even the mower) but only Esso in my Nsr250 as I’m trying to avoid dissolving the centre crank seal.
I’ve used the Plastex kits and they work really well.
Or the alarm is playing silly buggers.
Just done 50 mile on the Panigale and came home, its too hot, the roads are too busy and everyone driving are half asleep.
I’ve just read this from start to finish, amazing attention to detail and the result looks spot on.
As said check the battery voltage first but even when my battery was totally dead it still lit the dash up.
Bloody hell that’s a right mess, looks like the same person that did the wiring on mine!
