Even something relatively simple like the fuel filter needs changing,in many cases not done since the bike left the factory!
Give your local dealer /bike shop a call, can't imagine it being more than an hours labour max! Less than £20 for the sprocket.
I believe all the baskets are interchangeable, be careful with the GS plates, some have had success with them, others not.
