think that works on stainless to a degree. the harpic that is.. i tried it on my pipes that were mirror polished and it does work on the lightly...
they will look like that for about 5 mins if you use the bike!! ok, slight exaggeration but the will discolor from the headers down very quickly.

im a pretty good chippy and will work for bikes if thats of any help...
