You say DP ECU. Does the ECU have the DP labels on it or was it in a DP ECU box.
The 999R ECU ref number is for a stock map in the family 28640831* (where * is a letter H through L). As a stock map it is likely to be coded.
Try adjusting the gear lever slightly downward using the adjusting rod.
