Yes. It was not a good experience. Failed earth caused a breakdown on Scottish trip, wasn't smooth and only officially did upshifts. Thrown in bin.

The plastic ones don't have frames per se, they mount directly to the subframe. Metal panniers require the appropriate set of frames for the boxes...
