Dealers don’t have next years bikes in the showroom yet. And in some cases are unlikely too until next summer.

The Scrambler just leaves me a bit cold. Triumph do the retro thing so much better.
In this instance i would suggest they are trying to protect other buyers awaiting orders.
Ducati Italy know who the buyer should be. They could cancel the order.
Ducati Italy take a dim view of people selling their place in the queue.
Dealers are likely to lose their franchise for doing that.
I believe Honda are now only building to order and Triumph dealers get limited stock next year which they have to order now and once it’s gone...
