    Jimmy, it is one of the common faults, as Archer says it is an earth fault, not sure if it is in the actual clocks tho. Dealers will change clocks...

    Dawg, Tomtom's only run at 5v, in the car charger it reduces the 12v battery, so yes you have fried your unit , but they can be repaired have used...
