If it was me ,i would be applying plenty of penetrating fluid over two or three days and then have a go at separating them .

I suppose you could apply a really thorough coating of ACF 50 before filling with foam to alleviate corrosion problems ?
I am not sure if foam actually absorbs water ,pretty sure it doesn't ?

Once you have worked out your batten spacings and set your first few slates out ,i would imagine you will thoroughly enjoy the process .

A mate of mine has just recently bought a 1100 Evo ,and he loves it ,a great looking bike ,and a lot of fun to ride .
