When I swapped the abs on the 959 for the 1299 I didn’t bother pushing the pistons back. Just bled as normal. Didn’t take long to get the pressure...

I agree there. I fitted the Speedymoto top clamp and it raised the clip on height by at least 20mm. I think, at least in my case, it didn’t help...
