EXBV is the exhaust butterfly valve. It is found on your exhaust link pipes. They are prone to corrosion and need lubing with copper slip...
No Limp Mode on these bikes ! It will be the EXBV sticking hence the engine light and lack of power.

It doesn't plug into the plug under the seat, that is for the DDA. It is designed to connect to the diagnostic plug that is of the same design....

It also had carburettors. :upyeah: All the lever does is increase the RPM. I don't touch the thing on both of my bikes.
