They do a unpainted white one as well. Shame no plain red one though.
These could be an alternative for those considering a strip for the ali look. Should offer some track/crash protection as well....

I'd worry that style would actually pull the bolts from the casings and damage the threads.

I think I saw those on eBay. What's the stock 899 off-set? From what I read the 899 is pretty 'nimble' out the box and not heard of anyone to date...
