I think someone had a similar problem with a hyper, IIRC the damaged switch turned out to be effecting the fly by wire throttle operation....
HM are really good. I'd try without the shifter first then address the other codes if there's still a problem. Good luck. :upyeah:

It's easy enough to back the pre-load off the back. that's a good place to start if it's not been touched since new.
Personally I wouldn't bother with a used 1098 link. They really are shamefully p*ss poor quality and usually (IME) seized solid. The 848...
