As above. Start with the free/easy/cheap stuff first. No point buying a TPS just yet I'd say. Plugs and fuel filter and inspection first.
When you down there check the earth connection to the ecu.
The volatage rec sits under the battery. Know weak component. This will guide you padawan [MEDIA]
The TPS is a bit pricey. TBH I'd be going at that toward the end if needed.

I dont know much about the PC, but bypassing it and letting it run on the stock ecu might be worth a go. Were the plugs wet and smelling off fuel?...
