All 916 had 40mm spacing, the 65mm came in with the 996, so unless the forks have been swapped etc. Those in the pic are 40mm.
Oil leaks can be tricky to find. I had a leak on my 916 after a service many years ago, it appeared to be the cooler but after much investigation...
