how did you measure the 916 then as that would of also had the bottom chain guard too do it the same..
a relatively easy job you can do it with the back wheel on the rear stand you need to slacken the two pinch bolts at the back of the swing arm...

around 1600 pounds... a nova is around 2200. beautiful piece of engineering!!

a strong 1198 motor bottom end is sand cast cases 10/1198 crank 1098R rods pistols pistons (two ring) and i would go for a nova or better value a...

do you have the sand cast crank cases? what gearbox are you using? std?
but you'll need the r con rods as well or you'll be adding weight to the crank..
