Not sure about 900ie but the recommended oil spec for the ST4 has now been changed by Ducati to a 15-50 oil.
Is that 200 miles from full oil level to empty???because that would be extreme cause for concern,or quite an evident oil leak. what bike,how old etc.

Defo change the oil ,life blood of the engine,the oil will deteriorate over time.Not worth the risk,it's a given.

When I bought my bike it had a scott oiler fitted,it was poorly positioned and fitted,immediately took it off for piece of mind.
So far I have got nearly 20000 miles and the chain is fine,has not needed adjusting in over 3000 miles,the sprockets are 3/4 worn.I truly reckon...
