Depends what road mileage you do but you'd be hard pushed to beat supercorsa sp v2's or the metzeler RR equivalent They ARE the grippiest street...

Just an update I did brands on my 1299. Was running 54's towards the end of the day and didn't have a single issue on the standard system.
300v is race oil and needs to be changed a lot. 7100 to be honest will be the best for road and the odd trackday. But eitherway motul over the shell
I'd have a k1200s over a vfr any day I'd say it's better in almost every way personally.
