I have used the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth when visiting Drake. It was OK.
Fifth gear is different from the others, although you would normally expect it to be less noisy since power is not passing via the layshaft gears.
Only one gear pinion is on the sleeve, which the sprocket attaches to. The other four gear pinions are on the mainshaft.

Install a towing hitch at the rear, then you can transport bikes ( or anything else) by trailer. No messing up the interior.
The gaiters fit closely over suspension springs, which obviously move up and down. So they can hardly remain even and tidy.
Headlamp - done. Gaiters - not so easy.

I admit the droopy headlamp. I failed to notice it had pivoted down a bit on its mounting bolts. Rubber gaiters on rear shocks are a genuine...
You are entitled to your opinion. And so am I. And I think my 1972 yellow 450 Scrambler is outstandingly pretty. So there.
