I would put the bolt back in and back it out a bit at a time , that way you will not damage the end of the rod and you will here when the bolt...
For the chain there should be a c spanner in the tool kit, loosen the 2 clamp bolts and adjust. TPS adjust is a quick job for a Ducati dealer. Steve

Look between the engine and swing arm and you will see what looks like 5 mm thick washers, they are the ends of the top hat shaped bushes that run...
Don't want to disappoint you but the spindle will be corroded to the bushes and the bushes will spin freely in the bearings, your problem is...
Heat will help with swing arm removal. Steve
