You got an exceptional deal, Red. But when you see people asking £6k for 748R's you have to wonder what they think they actually own. I cannot...
They all say 748S. Not sure it really means a lot to be honest. I actually prefer the 'gold' framed bikes anyway.
The other positive of a cheaper model is you can bling it up to your choice of spec which isn't so easy to justify on an R or SPS.

They are still listed in the 2013 Ducati Performance catalogue part number 96455210B. Try Ducati Coventry. The part number changed for 2012>on...
The more you pay for a bike, the more you potentially have to lose...simples. A decent £3k 748 doesn't have much value to lose.
Isn't the 1198SP and the 848 Evo Corse available in those colours too though the 848 is minus the alloy tank.
