i bounced it of the limiter in the track yesterday... indeed over 10k ... what amazed me is the kick it gives between 8500 and the limiter... much...
the lack of time to cool down could be an issue indeed... but i guess that would better be adressed by pads, master cylinder and brakefluid then...
