I'm not sure if the 848 gearbox is as week as the 1098/1198 if it is a quick shifter is a bad idea. But if you do want one of go for translogic one.
Must admit I put a quick shifter on my gsxr track bike and my hands and wrists are so much better, so much less clutching .
Get a quick shifter and a nova gear box.
I'm using gp4-rs calipers on my gsxr there bloody brilliant.
