Looks like galvanic corrosion to me, dissimilar metals together. I use magnesium anodes on my boat and they get eaten away just like that.

I always run e5 in all my stuff (even the mower) but only Esso in my Nsr250 as I’m trying to avoid dissolving the centre crank seal.
I’ve used the Plastex kits and they work really well.

Just done 50 mile on the Panigale and came home, its too hot, the roads are too busy and everyone driving are half asleep.
