I believe this is a 998 The 998s had more power and could be bip or mono ... there were only 10 or so monos in the Uk so rarer than a 996r..
build it up and get it to a welder two bits of stainless round bar with a 6mm thread in the centre to bolt the guard to ...only need a tack rather...
it'll look ugly with say a jubilee clip holding on the bracket..
make some brackets and get them welded on
