Nitride forks didn't start until 2000 plus did they? My SPS wasn't nitride and that was a 98 MY. It did have 65mm callipers, and the frame gold....
Agree, using 2nd is enough, and try and stay above 4k although I must use 6th more often than you. But then 6th on this is a gear, unlike previous...
