I prefer my 996S to my 06 999. The 999 is planted, extremely fast if you give it everything...it feels like a 'Mercedes'...solid and well put...
I suspect the riding experience of the two will be night and day. The 1100 will be the better bike I would of thought. Why not ask for a test ride...
