I purchased a 996 about 2 or 3 years back. It is a much more engaging bike than the 999 I also have, it feels raw and shakes like the fairings are...
I have to admit at some level it is a curse...as I mend/build almost everything...and while you save cash...the time spent is enormous.
Successfully replaced the keyboard in a Lenovo Yoga computer...scary stuff, you have to dismantle almost all of it! Phew...chuffed it works!
