could a coil be braking down. any other 848 1098 etc about? you can try using their parts until you find cause. reg rectifier ? sorry cant...
power commander fitted ? remove. dodgy fuel ? empty tank and refill. there are two wee relays around the ecu, replace or check these .I think...
