Don't bother with the OEM traction control - it's completely shite.
FWIW my 748 ran for years with standard EPROM and open pipes. Never had a problem with idling or anything like that.
If it ran fine before you worked on it, why would it suddenly need a different EPROM?

That looks like an 04 fairing (4 vents) however it does not appear to be carbon as the upper vents are red on the inside.
