As chris says this is the type and number of the ecu you need to search for rather than 998R
the cpu is more common than calling it a 998R unique bit of kit have you searched ebay and all the regular haunts? failing that search CJS a chap...
where are you? Why not get it on a dyno to fault find.......i bet somewhere like CJS could supply fit and dyno set up an ecu for half that sort of...
with respect i hope all cooling systems are pressurised.....and that is what keeps the temperature down by raising the boiling point.
So presumably you have swapped over the coils and leads etc to confirm they work...........what about the cpu do you know of another 998 near you...
it could of course be an electrical fault too something breaking down under load.....how old is it? Have you had the alternator nut torque...
the thing is ducati twins have... well 2 pistons, that are relatively large with a lot of space between firing strokes. Compared to a 4 cylinder...
