Only earlier bikes had the aluminium swing arm, it was lovely to see this fitted across the range at one point, even have one on my 400 SS.

I did about 10 years ago, over Dorking way, I couldn’t carry that one home had to put it in the car. wish I had some pictures, it was much better...
maybe so on brakes that didn't squeal in the first place, but was accepted practice (not in anything like the quantity in pics above) in the car...
