I put the 1198s wheels on my base 1198 not only ate they lighter than most after market wheels they look bloody lovely too.

Fair do's of your fitting k tech stuff or ttx ohlins, but standard road ohlins I don't think are much better than showa.
To be honest most road riders wouldn't notice the difference between ohlins and showa suspension.
id always go for the ohlins model, early ones had dark grey wheels and gold frame too.
Only leave fuel out of the tank if it's staying in the house, or get an air tight bubble thingy.
