I wanted what i thought were the metal 1200S hand-guards. But somewhere in the mists of my mind I'd forgotten been told they were plastic.
Buy them & try them, its only a bit of dosh. Doesn't take long to get them sprayed or removed!

Sorry i stated filled but I've been on lots of forums some of which members require the obvious ;)
Take a 5ltr fuel tank with you (filled) and find out when you run out of fuel. Ride it gently & cautiously & you'll know the max miles of your bike.
