If I didn't have my gsxr I'd bang some race fairings on my 1198. If you stay near your limit on track your be OK. More likely to crash on the road...
Rear cush drive rubbers can wear check for swarf on the rear hub, clutch slave can leak, wiring can be a bit dodgy in places make sure everything...

Not so much being fast you neEd something reliable, Honda cbr 600 perfect beginners bike.
600's good all around ! A lot of guys in the fast group and ex racers use 600's.
Yeah true zx6r also cracking bikes. Don't think I've heard of any horror stories about the kwacker at all.
Some bikes are built from new frames and never registered so no need for a v5. A lot of motox bikes don't have v5's.
Buy a gsxr 600 or r6.
