i found my hypermotard real hard work, so much i sold it for a zx10r.
2010 base 1198, ohlins rear ttx, remapped race ecu, full termi 70mm exhaust, S machesini wheels.
i must admit i had a brown trouser moment on the 1198 earlier and tc would have been handy but it was my own fault (new tyres and to much throttle).
there the same size but i belive the ends are different for the charging system
hi guys not sure if anyone feels the same, but my 1198 seems to be hard work for the first 45 minutes of a ride untill she has really warmed up...
its not a need! but very wise to do while its apart, engine balancing is one of the best mods you can do for reliability.
My gsxr and 1198 are more comfy than my old hyper 796 over longer journeys. Hyper knackered my back up.
Yes drz has electric start. Loads of tuning mods for um too.
Is the exhaust flap actually working they can seize up.

I'd keep it mate, tune engine and up grade suspension make a project out of it. Evolution rather than revolution.
