If I recall correctly, part of the loom around the headstock can collect water leading to rotted insulation might be worth asking on the UKMOC...
If it’s cranking but not starting then perhaps check a fuel line is not kinked or pinched as well
The immobiliser antenna in the plastic housing around the key can become dislodged, worth checking that

The 1200R is not slouch in stock form but I’d say the upmap dials it up to 11, it seems smoother and pulls from a bit lower down really cleanly....
